The Backsliders
Blues

Iconic Australian blues group - Backsliders - are leaders and virtual pioneers in their own genre - 'delta-blues wall of sound'. As a three piece, they can lift the roof off any venue,  moving from straight ahead, in your face, 'amped up' original blues. These guys have been writing, recording & performing acoustic-based blues for 20 years - even before 'roots and blues' became a catch-phase with bands across the country. Multi-media celebrity, Doug Mulray describes them as "the best acoustic blues band in the country".

Guitarist/ vocalist, founding member and key songwriter for the band, Dom Turner specialises in "bottle-neck" slide guitar using resonator, as well as 6 & 12 string guitars. Dom's influences are many and varied, a blend of delta blues, piedmont blues, rock, dub and sounds of Asia. He is a highly regarded speaker on blues and roots music and has guested on ABC (Australian Broadcasting Commission) radio programs and presented music workshops at festivals and in universities (both nationally and internationally).

Drum and percussion virtuoso Rob Hirst (Midnight Oil, Ghostwriters, Hirst & Greene, Angry Tradesmen), an acclaimed name synonymous with the best of Australian music, has been with backsliders since 2000. Midnight Oil's notoriety needs no explanation, and Rob's talents have melded perfectly into the band. Rob Hirst is a founding member of Midnight Oil. He was the drummer, songwriter, and backing singer for 25 years.

Joining Dom and Rob are two of Australia's most innovative and dynamic harmonica players; the legendary Brod Smith (Dingoes, Brod Smith's Big Combo) and ARIA award winning harmonica genius Ian Collard (Collard, Greens & Gravy). The 2 blues-harp dynamos play alternate gigs, each blazing his own trail to the raw energy of the Backsliders sound. It's a furious ride, with Dom Turner and Rob Hirst doing their thing, setting the grooves and taking no prisoners, and Ian and Brod (you never know who you will get) firing-up the amps to fuel the maelstrom.

Rosie Flores (USA)
rock n roll / honky tonk / rockabilly / blues

Rosie Flores whips the best of rock and roll, honky tonk, early rockabilly, blues and jazz with the traditional sounds of her roots in San Antonio, TX. Over more than two decades she has been a major figure in the Los Angeles, Austin, TX and Nashville music scenes.

Rosie's reputation as a high-octane rockabilly and country star is long established. June 2008 found her onstage at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City, accepting the prestigious Peabody Award for her narration of the 10-hour documentary radio show on the history of Rockabilly, "Whole Lotta Shakin".

Acclaimed songwriter, award-winning guitar player, and break yer heartstrings singer, 31 August was proclaimed Rosie Flores day in Austin with her induction into the Austin Music Hall of Fame in 2007. She was recently voted as one of the "Top 75 Greatest Female Guitarists of All Time" by Venuszine.
An earlier stint with the cult cowpunk band Screaming Sirens, saw her appearing in the films The Runnin'  Kind , and cameo roles in The Vendetta and Reform School Girls.

Rosie's 1995 'Rockabilly Filly' reintroduced rockabilly pioneers Wanda Jackson and Janis Martin to audiences worldwide. Flores's self-penned "You Tear Me Up" is arguably the best performance by a contemporary female rockabilly artist. Her most recent recording is the highly acclaimed 'Girl of the Century' on Bloodshot Records.

Dan & Al
Acoustic

During the '90s, Dan Warner & Al MacInnes played several extended residencies at some of Melbourne's best-known music venues - including four years at The Great Britain, seven years on Sundays at The Punters Club, and four years at The Corner Hotel in Richmond. Dan and Al's residencies simply became a part of Melbourne musical life. The duo was so well supported that, even when playing several times a week in town, they also sold out the Corner Hotel launch of their record, 'Isle of Hop'. As Al puts it, Dan & Al's music 'drifts along busily'. It can also be like a jet plane landing in your lounge-room.

Shane Howard & Band

"..a deeply philosophical work that pulls together the strands of Shane Howard's distinguished career, underlines his status as one of the country's finest singer-songwriters and confirms his profound commitment to Aboriginal Australia."
Four stars Tony Hillier The Australian

"This album has the feeling of a homecoming and a farewell. It completes the circle, it speaks of a further journey into the heart of an Australia that few in the cities glimpse. It's the red dirt, the wide horizon, the depths of Aboriginal culture, the struggles of the white pioneers, the common humanity of all people on this continent. The songs allow Howard's voice - grittier than his younger years - to tell stories of history and ordinary lives. His most rewarding album in a long time."
Four stars Warwick McFadyen The Age EG

Justin Walshe & The Folk Machine
Folk acoustic

Blessed with the charisma to entertain crowds on a grand stage and the humility to draw people in on a personal level, Justin Walshe leads the Folk Machine and it's passengers on a foot-stomping journey from the quiet contemplations of folk to the wilds of gospel-infused country rock with feet firmly rooted in Australian soil. Touted by The Weekend Australian as a forerunner in a threatened Australian folk revival, the much praised release of their second album Walking to China (June 2010) adds significant weight to a heavy claim. Accompanied by lush 'Carter-like' harmonies and a driving rhythm section (very useful on those long tours),
"A Justin Walshe Folk Machine live show sits somewhere between a campfire yarn, a sea shanty, bush poetry and a country rock hoedown. In a one hour set you might get an historical anecdote about convicts and shipwrecks, croony, delicate tales on love and whisky (in no particular order), and plenty of barnstorming folk rock to tie it all together." Xpress Magazine

Scared Weird Little Guys
Farewell tour
Comedy

It was 1990. A mobile phone was the size of a helicopter and cost slightly more. Bob Hawke was Prime Minister. MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice battled Madonna and Roxette for chart domination. At a comedy club in Melbourne the Scared Weird Little Guys did their first ever performance.
It was a very different world.

The Scaredies stuff was fresh and clever, their confidence was infectious, their talent was plain to see and their comedy, music and improv made each show unique and accessible. They were the most reliable act in town for getting laughs anywhere, anytime. And that's how it's been for over twenty years! Now it's almost over for one of Australia's most loved comedy duos.

After twenty-one years and 4500 shows, the Scared Weird Little Guys are calling it a day. Their last ever farewell tour will give audiences one last time to see them do their thing.

They've certainly gigged around in their time, to New York, London, Edinburgh, Montreal,Hong Kong, Singapore, and lots of other places. Even New Zealand. They've racked up 125,000km on the road and 1.5 million km in the air (that's 680 hotels and almost enough frequent flyer points for a mid-week standby one-way flight to Launceston).

In 2006 they played the closing ceremony of the Commonwealth Games, winning over the 90,000 strong crowd with songs, jokes and a camera-flash Mexican Wave around the MCG. They've performed with symphony orchestras, brass bands, rock bands, choirs, whistlepop ensembles and been on radio and TV more times than Eddie McGuire.

They've won stuff, like an ARIA Award for Best Comedy release in 2004, a Mo Award in 2000 and awards for Best Comedy Act on Campuses in the USA, Canada and Australia.

And now it's 2010. Hammertime is well and truly over, Roxette no longer rocks and even Madonna's going Gaga. Bob Hawke loves that we have an unmarried, female, red-haired, childless, immigrant for a Prime Minister. A mobile phone is the size of a Tim-Tam and costs slightly less.

"Impressively musical... great entertainers...screamingly funny..." - The Scotsman, Edinburgh

The Grigoryan Bros
Classical

"CLASSICAL guitar duo the Grigoryan brothers, Slava and Leonard, are the most diffident of musicians, so laid-back they are almost supine. They just get on with the business, with a reserved manner that stops at the first note they make."               Clive O'Connell The Age

Duos are common enough in the musical world, but sibling duos are a rare thing. Slava and Leonard Grigoryan are that rare thing. There is no rivalry, only the
bonds of family and a love of music. Since their first acclaimed Australian tour in 2002, Slava and Leonard have astounded audiences worldwide with their guitar virtuosity. They have toured extensively throughout Australia and overseas: to Europe, the United States, Britain, Asia, South Africa and the Middle East. The Good Lovelies (CAN)
Australian Premiere
Country / Folk

The Good Lovelies are not your run-of-the-mill "all girl" band. At a time when too many of us are affected by gloom, doom and recovering from recession these three women are the perfect antidote. Recent winners of the 2010 Juno for Roots Album of the Year and of the 2009 New Emerging Artist Award from the Canadian Folk Music Awards- the Good Lovelies are making waves across Canada.

The aptly named Good Lovelies are Caroline Brooks, Kerri Ough and Sue Passmore, all of them best friends and refugees from solo careers. Described as folk-roots and western swing, the Toronto-based trio rely on unerring three-part vocal harmonies, clever songs and, onstage, convulsively funny repartee.
They have wowed Canada with their dynamic onstage personas an "harmonies that are positively celestial!" Ottawa Folk Festival.

David Hosking
pop / rock

"Troubadour David Hosking...he does things his way. No lofty ambition, just honest toil for his craft ...has a nose for witty poetry that he beautifully transforms into song...
Hosking's warm vocal doesn't want for perfection, yet thrives and shakes with passion in each song's journey as if it's an old friend." Sunday Herald Sun 2010

Melbourne singer - songwriter - guitarist David Hosking has been stubbornly
independent in his outlook and career, ignoring the attentions of record companies in order to articulate precisely his own musical vision without interference. As a tactic it might be unusual, but it certainly seems to work.

He has collaborated with Chris Wilson, Shane O'Mara, Rebecca Barnard, Shelly Scown and comedian Glynn Nicholas.

Most recently he has toured Australia with Eddi Reader, England with The Waifs, and shared the stage in Ireland with Ron Sexsmith, Brian Kennedy and Juliet Turner.

"The man writes like Schultz created cartoons; simple, uncluttered life pictures that strike you as nothing but authentic. He is one of the finest songwriting talents I have heard, and I wouldn't be surprised if you see his career unfold rapidly here in Ireland" Mark Patterson BBC

Intoxica
Rock

INTOXICA play rock and roll, pure and simple. With Garage, Rockabilly, Surf and Blues in it. Thumping drums and bass, fuzzy and twangy guitars and the distinctive vocal styling and hypnotic presence of Tony Shaw. You can dance to every song except the really fast ones you can shake to.

These Melbourne alternative legends are playing more and more these days. A new generation of fans is packing into venues like The Retreat to witness what 'The Age' describes as 'psychobilly legends'. Hell, they're even touring interstate again!
INTOXICA is the only band from the eighties that hasn't quit and reformed. If you get the chance to experience their unique blend of psychobilly, surf apocalypse, and relentless rock and roll, presented in blistering live performance, you will understand how they came to influence and inspire so many of today's "new rock" acts. The catalog number of their fist (vinyl) album was Shock LP 001 - that was a long time and many rockin' releases ago - INTOXICA have never been big time but have always guaranteed you the best time out!

When Arthur left The Corpse Grinders in 1987, George from The Olympic Sideburns joined up and the name was changed to INTOXICA. That wasn't the only change - The Corpse Grinders were a gloriously madcap psychobilly riot but INTOXICA was free to add echoes of primal garage in The Sonics, the surf sounds of The Ventures, Eddie Bertrand and Dick Dale, the twang of the Buckaroos and the rave of Hasil Adkins. INTOXICA started gigging in 1987 and haven't stopped. They've released three albums and five singles and their songs feature on numerous compilations. They've opened for Deborah Harry, Dick Dale and The Stray Cats. They rock!

Tony Shaw - vocals
Teebs - bass
George - guitar
Nicky Del Rey - guitar
Phil Grinder - drums

This is a class act, refined with constant touring and primed for targets close the heart." - Herald Sun Newspaper **** (4 stars)

The 2007 release of their album 'Death, Love & Buildings', featuring the voice of legendary Australian soul singer Renee Geyer, was picked up with gusto by the folks at Triple J Radio, and helped establish Tinpan Orange on the folk festival circuit. 2009 saw the critically commended release of their new album The Bottom of the Lake. The Fumes
Blues

Ever since The Fumes exploded onto the Aussie rock scene in 2004 with a self-titled EP and the critically-acclaimed debut album Guns Of Gold in 2006, the infamous blooze-rock duo have left slack jaws, ringing ears and wagging tongues in their wake. But in the case of geetar-slinger and mighty-bearded vocalist Steve Merry and drumming prodigy Joel Battersby, the gushing is with good reason. Not so much making a name for themselves as branding it in the consciousness of punters nationwide, The Fumes have pursued a constant regimen of touring

Gaining respect from industry and a growing public they work equally well carving up blues festivals and headlining sold out rock venues. Their vigorous touring schedule started from the onset and charged into full gear by the time they released their debut album 'Guns of Gold' (Silent Partner/Inertia) in July 06. Chock full of swagger and groove they set about Australia on numerous occasions to regional towns and cities wowing audiences with their high octane blues rock performances.

The Fumes were named Blues Artist of The Year at the 2005 Music Oz Awards and pulled of a spectacular performance that was televised nationally on SBS coinciding with the release of their first single 'Oh My Babylon' ( from E.P 'The Fumes') while it enjoyed rotation nationwide on Aussie radio. Second single 'Automobile' (accompanied by the award winning film clip) went to high rotation across the country mostly through the efforts of Triple J which also featured the guys live on air in the studio and their performance at the Falls Festival in Victoria, all on the back of a more rigorous touring. The release of 'Guns of Gold' made its debut on the AIR chart at no 5 the first week of release. The Fumes entered the all distribution chart at number 20. The media went at it again;
FASTERLOUDER: "The Fumes are set to dazzle. with their multi-faceted stylistic raw blues tunes.?Guns Of Gold' is a genre busting mash up of country, delta blues and punk/rock n' roll. Recorded by legendary producer Lindsay Gravina (Thirsty Merc, The Living End, Magic Dirt, Faker) THE FUMES' debut record proves why the band is quickly becoming the nation's most exciting musical prospect?

The Tiger & Me
Folk acoustic
sun 3 - 4.15 pm | abC radio stage

The Tiger and Me create indie-pop music as seen through the looking glass of European folk songs. Three lead vocalists lead a troupe of multi-instrumentalists from gentle folk melodies through to riotous frenzied waltzes, with a wink and a nod to the old cabaret den and speakeasy tradition. The Melbourne sextet ignites the stage with a live show that is an event for any rampant feet out there looking for the ultimate place to whirl and stomp.

The Tiger and Me began life as a duo when Jane Hendry and Ade Vincent recorded six songs in late 2007 which, originally intended as demos, were eventually released as an EP. The self-titled EP received strong support from radio in Australia, including leading station Triple J, which interviewed the duo and broadcast several of their songs. They were also featured as one of 'six of the best' unearthed roots bands in Australia in Triple J's 'Jmag'.

The EP was successful in generating interest in the duo, however it was their expansion to a band for a sell-out show at Melbourne's Manchester Lane in mid-2008 that marked the group's true birth. The show was recorded, capturing the band's juxtaposition of high-energy shout outs and gentle folk melodies.

Their reputation as an outstanding live act has enabled them to build a strong local fanbase, with regular residencies throughout Melbourne coupled with larger headline shows. Intent on adding to their local popularity they have toured both in Australia and internationally. In 2008 they undertook a tour of Canada, bookended by festival performances at North by Northeast in Toronto and New Music West Festival in Vancouver in 2008, where they were well received by both press and public. They followed this with an Australian East Coast tour with Jess McAvoy in 2009, and performances at Port Fairy Folk Festival in 2010.

Julien Wilson Trio
Jazz

'Australian Jazz Artist of the Year' (2008 National Bell Jazz Awards) saxophonist Julien Wilson, has been a distinctive voice on the Australian jazz scene for over a decade and has performed in Europe, Japan, China, Mexico and the USA.

The Julien Wilson Trio was formed in 2004, out of the embers of the Assumptions Trio. Julien Wilson and Stephen Magnusson have worked together for fifteen years with a variety of bands. Before Assumptions (with drummer Will Guthrie) they co-led the multi-national Swiss based band, Snag, which released two CD's, and toured Australia and Europe twice. Other collaborations included performances and recordings with Festa, Mike Nock, Jim Black, Andy Milne, Josh Roseman, Hugh Masekela, Archie Roach, the Australian Art Orchestra and Barney McAll.

Known to live on the edge in other contexts, the Trio with Stephen Grant allows them to embrace their more lyrical inclinations. The combination of accordion and nylon string guitar, conjures images of South American and European folk musics, but their original music, written specifically for the trio, comes from the jazz tradition. They are featured on the albums 'While you were sleeping' (2006) and Trio-Live (2007) both available on Sound Vault Records, CDBaby & iTunes.

The Julien Wilson Trio has performed at the Sydney Opera House and Berlin Jazz Festival, as well as at festivals in Jakarta, New Zealand, and throughout Australia. In 2006 they undertook a three-week European tour supported by funds from Wilson's 2006 Freedman Fellowship. Wilson has also been awarded the 1994 National Jazz Award and the 2008 Bell Award for Australian Jazz Artist of the Year. In 2008 Julien toured Australia as a featured soloist with the Kurt Elling Quartet, and one of their performances with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra was recently shown on ABC TV. In Oct 2009 the Trio participated in the Jarasum International Jazz Festival in Korea and were featured in that country's national EBS TV feature show 'Space'. There is a chapter dedicated to the Julien Wilson Trio in John Shand's new book 'Jazz: The Australian Accent' and the Trio were finalists for Best Australian Jazz Ensemble in 2008 and 2004.

Audrey Auld
Country

Devils are not the only thing to come from Tasmania. Singer- songwriter Audrey Auld's heart is in Country, Folk and Americana music with a presence as big as The Outback. Her songs are the wry and poignant observations of a Tassie girl living in
California and Nashville for the past six years. Audrey calls it "Music with the dirt left on."

Auld is a memorable and uplifting entertainer. She's a spontaneous comedienne and a writer of humorous, provocative and soulful songs. A touring songwriter, Audrey won the 2006 MerleFest Song Contest and performed her winning song "Losing Faith" with Rich Brotherton (Robert Earl Keen) on guitar to a thrilled MerleFest crowd.

"Audrey Auld is a great singer songwriter. She holds a unique place in contemporary Americana/Roots music. I believe that this uniqueness is largely due to the fact that she is Australian. This affords her a totally different attitude as an artist than traditional American contributors to this genre. Audrey is one of the most honest original artists I know." ~ Fred Eaglesmith

Peter Denahy
Country

Pete is one of those blokes who was always around the pub, the session, the concert or the buffet with his fiddle in his hand, ready with a joke or a twisted one-liner.

His mother is Japanese and his father is a fourth generation, Irish Australian. He spent his early childhood in Japan and gained an appreciation of music from his Japanese grandfather who was a conductor, composer and cello player. At twenty-two he joined a band called the "Plougboys" playing the fiddle and guitar and he did the pub rounds in Melbourne, six nights out of seven, which was a great experience but hard on the liver. Playing with the Ploughboys took him to one of his favourite festivals, Maldon Folk Festival and then to the bigger ones, Port Fairy and the National at Canberra.

Having a swag of material under his belt, he toured with the Slim Dusty Show for four years doing comedy and playing fiddle in the band. He road tested a lot of new songs on the show . One of these was a ditty called "The Petrol Head Fly". This classy song is one in a small series of bug songs that includes "Bruce the Spider" and "The Dung Beetle".

"Most recently, Peter has shot to fame for his song "Sort of Dunno Nothin" which typifies an unexciting conversation between a parent and child. The clip on YouTube is being spun around the world and has gained a momentum that has taken even Peter by surprise." - "The Conversation Hour" with Richard Fiedler, ABC Brisbane

January 2009 saw Pete travel to Tamworth where he was nominated for five Golden Guitars. Having won none of them, he is now the proud loser of more awards than anyone at this year's Tamworth festival.
You should see his gig if you can.........he is absolutely world class.
(written mostly by Pete Denahy)

JVG Guitar Method
Rock / POP

JON VON GOES broadcasts on 3RRR. He is also the supremely proud Patron of the Apollo Bay Music Festival. MARK FERRIE is a lifer. From the Models to the RocKwiz Orkestra, he's played in more bands than you can shake a stick at. ASHLEY DAVIES likes to drum both ways, he rocks and he rolls. DALE LINDREA wears his bass high and his clothes brown.

In a Guitar Method show much musical territory is traversed. North, South, East and West of the showtime compass. It swings, it throbs, it purrs, it shakes. It's all about the show. Jon has a very long mic lead.

An old man called Dave bought the Guitar Method's CD 'Dig My Method' at a gig the other night. He said, "You made me forget my name, you made me forget I was a father, you made me forget I was a grandfather, you made me forget I was a great grandfather".

Rory & The Riot Act
Rock / pop

Rory and the Riot Act is an original rock band from Hobart (via Cygnet). It is the baby of talented songwriters and multi-instrumentalists Rory Campbell, David Elliston and Sam Smets. It started out life in a colourful student share house and has since evolved into a lively rock act that has played at virtually every venue in the apple isle since. These chaps have incorporated a wide range of musical influences including country, funk, folk, reggae, afro-beat, blues and punk into their groovy, motley sound. With their upbeat attitude and penchant for good times, they have aptly coined their own little genre as 'world party rock'.

The Mercurials
Folk / Acoustic

Their sound has been described as 'a sauna for the soul'.

They are the Mercurials, a triumvirate of talent that includes ARIA award winning guitarist Andrew Pendlebury, guitarist/vocalist Mark Ferrie (Rockwiz Orkestra) and the intriguing and exotic Adi Sappir, an Israeli born cellist who sings with the voice of a angel.

The group have been performing their original brand of acoustic contemporary pop blending elements of world, folk and jazz at festivals and gigs since 2004.

They have released three CDs so far: their self titled debut in 2005 and 'Tangents' in 2008. Their third and most recent CD 'Silver and Gold' (2009) has finally captured the very individual sound and chemistry of their live performances.
The album features compositions from all three members as well as 'mercurialized' takes on songs by Bob Marley, the Beatles and Stephen Cummings.

Like a slow cooked meal, the three talented individuals who comprise the Mercurials have chosen to take the 'scenic route' to formulating their own unique musical expression. Taste their magic now...

Rondo Supa

In the beginning there was the word, and the word was groove.

Cath Richardson - vocal and keyboard
David Capon - guitar
Phil Langdon - bass

Dirt River Radio
dirty rock / dusty blues

Dirty Rock, dusty blues and one hell of a live show best describes Aussie band Dirt River Radio. The Melbourne based five piece emerged in 2007 due to the beer-fuelled song writing collaboration of singer / guitarists Danger Alexander and Heath Brady.

They've since played with greats such as C W Stoneking, and been rocking the air waves on Triple J's Roots and All, and have received great reviews for last year's EP release 'Come Back Romance All Is Forgiven?.  Their single ?All My Friends? was voted number two on Triple J?s Unearthed, and was featured as ?Single of the week?, as well as being voted in as one of the top 20 singles of the year, in Beat Magazine.

They make a most welcomed return to Apollo Bay

Pony Face
Alt / Rock

Pony Face are an Australian art rock trio who rose to prominence during the earlier part of 2008.

Experiencing a live performance from these guys, leaves you on a hypnotized high. Their music and story telling will drug you and carry you off on an atmospheric breeze, making sure every now and again they deliver you a welcomed slap in the face!

They are likened to an eclectic bunch of acts including The Triffids, Dirty Three, The Drones, Crazy Horse, Daniel Lanois, PJ Harvey, Nick Cave, Cat Power and Smog. Basically, Pony Face don't make any genre come to mind!

They've been described as the illegitimate children of Dinosaur JR and Patti Smith, Matt Walker says: .."Paul Kelly on Hallucinogens.. wandering around monument valley.."

Minibikes
Alt / rock

Minibikes are an all singing, all revving, pocket rocketing pop tour de force.

Dinosaur Jr, Teenage Fanclub. That's their vibe.

They play fast and they play slow until there's nothing left in the tank.

Powered by Marcel Borrack on guitar and lead vocals, Robert Mackenzie on guitar and the powerhouse singing rhythm section of Al Barden (drums) and Nathan Farelly (bass).

Rev it up with the Minibikes.

Spyndrift

The Cactus Channel
Funk / groove

The Cactus Channel hit you with a hard funk groove to rival the likes of James Brown or The Meters and you find you just can't stop moving. But what's that? They're still high school?! With a musical maturity beyond their years you know that this 10 piece collective will go far. And that they'll get a whole lotta rumps shaking along the way" DJ Manchild (PBS 106.7 'The Breakdown')

The Cactus Channel are a fantastic young teenage funk band. They have managed to capture the fun and looseness of what funk truly means. They are right up there with the great Melbourne funk scene. They have a great future ahead of them. Playing with jazz sensiblities and a funky feeling these kids truly belong on the BIG stage!!!" Chris Gil (Northside Records)

Sambrose Automobile
BLUES

Built on the influence of delta blues and southern soul, the sounds of Sambrose Automobile jump, bop and roll. Formed in 2007, this dynamic quartet has rapidly established a reputation as one of the tightest and most exciting rhythm and blues bands in the Geelong area.

The rhythm and blues music of Sambrose Automobile continues to evolve and expand making this band?s live show an experience not to be missed.

ALMACKNJACK
Alt / rock

ALMACKNJACK are a three piece powerhouse. Stu, Almo and Jack?s shared passion for tomfoolery and desire for learning every instrument under the sun is the fuel for their high energy music. Inspired by Santana?s performance at Woodstock and just about every interesting band to ever grace guitar strings, the ALMACKNJACK boys put a modern edge on old school psychedelia and blues charged rock and roll.

From banging drum skins with maracas, to playing guitar with a drumstick, even Stu playing guitar on Jack?s back or a 3 man drum solo, an ALMACKNJACK spectacle will take you where you?ve never ventured before.
