A Day On The Dam, is an exciting new event being presented by The Apollo Bay Music Festival. Set in the magnificent setting of Otway Estate & Brewery in Barongarook, in the Otway ranges just out of Colac, audience members will be treated to some superb acts from the 2011 Apollo Bay Music Festival and be able to sup on food and wine from this celebrated region.

The event features a stellar line up of some of some of Victoria's finest acts, including the legendary Shane Howard performing songs from his celebrated album Goanna Dreaming and his renowned back catalogue, as well as some of the regions most popular performers Spyndrift and Los Locos. David Hosking and Zeptepi will also showcase their magnificent wares and give punters a real taste for the 2011 Festival. The event will also launch the final program for 2011 and feature celebrity guests and a host of surprises, and the day will also feature a Farmers market giving out of towners a real sample of what the region has to offer.

Otway Estate a beautiful vineyard of 16 acres hidden amongst bushland and adjoining the Otway State Forest. Otway Estate hosts many events and celebrations with its contemporary indoor and outdoor facilities including winery, brewery, gallery, balconies, restaurant and large cellar door and it all overlooks a dam!

Otway Estate is 2 hours from Melbourne, 10 minutes from Colac and 30 minutes from Apollo Bay. For those who'd like to travel with V-Line you can leave from Melbourne on the Warrnambool line with a 9 am departure from Southern Cross Station arriving Geelong 9:59am and Colac at 10.59 am. From here, a courtesy shuttle bus will meet patrons for a 10 min transfer to the vineyard. [The return train departs 6:24pm]

November 2010 saw a record month for Early Bird ticket sales. The  team are busy at work putting together the final components of the festival including some wonderful special events and even more outstanding artists from across the world. 
The launch for 2011 will be on a grand scale at Otway Estate and Brewery featuring some of the 2011 acts, aptly titled "A Day On The Dam" you will be treated to fine acts and some of the region's finest culinary delights and micro brewery ales. "Day On The Dam" details will be announced on the 8th of December 2010.

Other projects in the pipeline include the revamped young performers competition. Stay tuned and we will keep you posted on all things Apollo Bay Music Festival.

The award winning celebration of music and the arts that is the Apollo Bay Music Festival is gearing up for 2011 with a line up of beloved Australian artists and debutante internationals to give audiences at Apollo Bay too much of what they want.

"Apollo Bay is a great festival for people who like to immerse themselves in the program and let go of their real world for the weekend. The thrill of seeing someone new, the joy of catching a favourite or three and the utterly delightful atmosphere that overwhelms the town does make Apollo Bay a very special event in a very beautiful part of Victoria," says Festival Director Caroline Moore

The line-up is once again a wonderful, eclectic mix of artists with something for everyone.
